It’s November, and that means things begin to get serious in the Scrooge world. Tonight, November 3rd, is the first BIG rehearsal. Schoolchildren will be rehearsing at 7pm, and EVERYONE ELSE will also be rehearsing as we tackle the last song of the production, Whaddaya Say.
The question will be: where will everyone else be rehearsing. Yes, there is Upward practice happening in the auditorium, but we’re going to try to share the space as well.
See you in the Auditorium at 7pm!
Wow. After much prayer and thought, here is the listing of the cast of Scrooge at Faith for 2008. Names are listed alphabetically. Beside each name is the part to be played, and the songs you are involved in.
There are many talented and great individuals in this cast, and we wish it would have been possible for everyone to have a role that was as big as the talent they bring to it, but, well, there’s only so much to go around, you know?
Please cross-reference this list against the schedule to find out when you are required at rehearsal. If you have any questions, email Scrooge.
Cast List 2008
Please carefully read the schedule. Any additions, corrections, changes, or deletions will be posted here on the Scrooge blog. When you see WHAT you are doing on the Cast List, then cross-reference this calendar to find out WHEN you are scheduled.
If you have any questions, email Scrooge.
Scrooge 2008 Calendar of Events
It was a great evening as the 19th Annual Production of The Gospel According to Scrooge at Faith got underway last night. The North Campus Auditorium, which will host the December performances of Scrooge, was decorated and the room was full as Pastor Tim unveiled this year’s theme.
After the meeting, potential cast members were interviewed and measured, and everyone mingled and ate some great Ronna-cake.
Final cast decisions will be posted by Sunday, October 12th here on the Scrooge blog, and the first rehearsal will be Monday, October 13th at 7:00 pm.
If you are a fan of The Gospel According to Scrooge, and you have a Facebook ID, you can join the Gospel According to Scrooge Group on Facebook. Just search for “Scrooge” and you’ll find us.
P.S. We also have a “Faith Assembly” group.
The 19th Annual Production of The Gospel According to Scrooge at Faith Assembly begins on Sunday, September 28th with a Big Meeting. If you are wanting to be part of this year’s production, this mandatory meeting will spell out all the details for this year’s presentation.
This year’s four live performances will be Friday-Monday, December 12th through December 15th at 7pm each evening.
It looks like we forgot to say it here on the blog, but the Scrooge 2007 DVD is available (and has been for some time!). If you come to Faith Assembly, you can get your copy at the Ministry Counter in the main lobby.
Or you can order it through our SignUsUp store.
The Scrooge 2007 DVD is $15 and includes many extra features.
Our apologies to everyone that has been patiently waiting for the DVD. We have been working diligently on this project, and hope to have it done in the next couple of weeks.
It feels odd to be at home, not doing anything related to Scrooge. Over two months, sixteen rehearsals, and four performances, many people have been working very hard to present Christ in a way that people would see and believe. That was our theme this year - Seeing is Believing. It is our prayer that faith and hope will be strengthened in every person that attended and was involved in Scrooge.
The work continues. Even today, the set and props crews were working to strike the set. The final strike will happen Friday at 8am.
A special thank you to everyone that stayed late on Sunday night to record a special episode of the Church Drama Podcast. That episode will be posted on Church Drama Podcast web site in the next week, and will also appear on the Scrooge 2007 DVD.
Tonight is the finale of the 18th Annual Presentation of the Gospel According to Scrooge at Faith…but it’s NOT the finale of Scrooge at Faith or the finale of the Scrooge blog. There will be much more to come, so stay subscribed to the blog for more updates, photos, and news about Scrooge.
The first 3 nights of the 2007 edition of Scrooge have been great. The cast and crew have been getting better every night, and we expect tonight to be the best yet. Crowds have been enthusiastic and responsive.
It is our hope that this production has and will touch many lives. (This photo is from dress rehearsal - Angel #2 and Tiny Tim…also known as Pastor Jason Goss and Paul Hill, Jr.)
