Upward Flag Football & Cheerleading

Our Upward Flag Football and Cheerleading 2012 season begins with evaluations on Saturday, January 28, and Saturday, February 4.  Evaluations will be held at Bayshore Field, 17050 Williams Road from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Any child who wishes to play flag football or cheer needs to attend one of these evaluations.

You may register at the field.  Registration forms are also available here or at the Information Counter in the main lobby, Building 3.  The cost is $55 for players and $60 for cheerleaders. Practices will begin the week of February 20, with the first of 8 games being March 3.

We need your help in promoting this great community outreach program by passing out registration forms or hanging posters, and we need volunteers in many different areas. 2011 UPWARD Golf Tournament

On Saturday, August 27, we will be hosting a golf tournament to raise funds for our UPWARD sports ministry.  This will be a four person scramble held at The Golf Club at Magnolia Landing located at 3501 Avenida Del Vera Boulevard, North Fort Myers, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.  Cost is $50 per golfer and includes a goody bag, lunch, and a chance to win some great prizes.  Money raised will enable us to provide financial scholarships and purchase new equipment for our upcoming Basketball and Flag Football leagues. The deadline to register is August 24.

UPWARD has the potential to reach hundreds of children and families in our area for the cause of Christ.  We want to expand our reach and are looking for individuals and businesses to partner with us by sponsoring the tournament.

  •  Printed business listing for all golfers at the tournament.
  • With each $50 sponsorship, one sign with your business information will be placed on a hole during the golf tournament.

$100 Season Sponsor

  •  Printed business listing for all golfers at the tournament.
  •  Sign with your business information placed on one hole during the golf tournament.
  •  Recognition at our End of the Season Celebrations.

$500 Season Sponsor

  • Printed business listing for all golfers at the tournament.

Upward Basketball Camp & Cheerleading

It’s time for the 2010 Upward  Basketball & Cheerleading season. Registration is now open for children in 1st through 8th grades . The cost is $55 for basketball and $60 for cheerleading. Basketball shorts and cheerleading turtlenecks are available for $12.

Basketball evaluations and cheerleading orientation will be held Tuesday, August 31 and Thursday, September 2 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the Auditorium, Building 3. A mandatory scrimmage game will be held on Saturday, September 11 at 9:00 a.m.

Upward Golf Tournament

UPWARD sports ministry is hosting its 3rd Annual Golf Tournament on July 31 at River Hall Country Club. Become a sponsor today and help us expand our reach in connecting with more children and families for the cause of Christ. All money raised will enable us to provide financial scholarships and to purchase new equipment for our basketball and flag football leagues.

For each $500 sponsorship, a sign will be placed on one hole with your business logo and information.  These signs will also be displayed at each basketball and flag football game throughout the upcoming season.  For each $100 sponsorship, a sign will be placed on one hole with your business logo and information.  Each business that helps us will be recognized at the tournament as well as during our end-of-season celebrations.
