a Church for You
we don’t have it all together. we are messy. we are still learning. we make mistakes.
we love God and we know He loves us, too. we love to worship Him in our own imperfect way. we live in His forgiveness and His hope and in the joy that brings.
we are for each other. we are for Jesus. we are for our community. we are for you.
Phil Goss is the lead pastor of Faith Assembly. Beginning in 1988, Pastor Goss has led Faith as it has grown from a small congregation on the south side of Bayshore Road to a vibrant community of faith, with campuses on both sides of Bayshore Road and an impact that reaches around the world. We are known for a culture that warmly invites everyone to experience freedom and restoration in Jesus Christ.
Pastor Goss has a heart for making Jesus known all around the world, and actively supports our missionaries and missions partners in making that happen. He is a member of the Asia Pacific Board of Regents, a board member for Crossroads Alliance, and is a member of various missions-minded agencies.
A life message of healing and hope in Christ was shaped in part by a near-fatal car accident Phil experienced as a young pastor in Missouri. Left in a hospital room to die from severe trauma, he experienced the grace of God and restorative work of the Holy Spirit. Like Jacob, a man in the Bible who wrestled with God, Phil’s encounter with God left him with a limp, but also a new perspective of God’s purpose.
Phil and his wife Naomi live in Cape Coral. They have five children and many grandchildren.

What to Expect
We know that attending a church for the first time can be an intimidating thing. Each weekend at Faith you can experience a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary music and a practical, relevant message in the Auditorium.
Young children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery in Faith Kids Jr, while older children experience a fun-filled morning in Faith Kids.
What time are Sunday services?
We have two service times on Sunday at 8:15am and 10:45 am. Both are identical and last for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Starting at 9:45am and ending at 10:20am, we have Sunday School classes for adults, which are taught by our different pastors. Children and youth students have Sunday School classes as well, and are split up according to age.
What should I wear?
Come in what is comfortable for you, because Faith is not about what you look like or what you wear. You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our weekend services.
What will happen when I visit for the first time?
If you are visiting for the first time, we won’t embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.
What should I expect when I enter?
When you walk through the front doors on Sunday morning, free coffee is available to your left. Directly in front of the entrance is The Hub, where you can find information about services or events. At the Hub, they also have a gift for you. Just let them know that you are a first time guest.
To the right of the Hub are the double doors leading to the Auditorium, where our services are located. When you enter the Auditorium, a Faith volunteer will be there to give you the bulletin. The Bulletin includes sermon notes and details on upcoming events. In the Auditorium, there is no assigned seating, so sit wherever you’d like. We’re glad you’re here!
To the left of the Hub is the north hallway, where you will find restrooms and drinking fountains. The north hallway also leads to Faith Kids Jr, located on the first floor, and to Faith Kids, located on the second floor.
What time is Wednesday service?
Our Wednesday evening service starts at 7pm. We still have worship, but the sermon is different than our Sunday series. Wednesday sermons use a Bible study approach, in which we encourage people to submit questions when more clarity is needed. Questions are submitted by texting 772-444-7101 during the service.
Our Faith volunteers also prepare Wednesday dinner for the convenience of those attending the Wednesday service. Dinner starts at 5:15pm and ends at 6:30pm. Cost is $7 per person or a total price of $20 for immediate family members living at the same address. You can pay ahead of time online or we accept cash and checks at the door.
In the Lobby, there’s a Faith Kids banner and a Faith Kids volunteer ready to guide you to the specified area for your child. Every volunteer in Faith Kids and the Nursery has taken background checks, and are properly trained to teach and watch over kids.
Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our Growth Track offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. You can begin the process at any step in our Growth Track.
Connect groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships, it’s what we need to grow. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you!
