Congregational Update

May 28, 2020

Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”

Beginning June 7, we will be resuming in-person services. This will be an adventure for all of us. It will be different, but it is a beginning.

There are differing opinions and attitudes about various guidelines and regulations. This is not a time to champion our opinions and ideas, but rather a time for us, as Christians, to demonstrate our care and compassion for others. We want to do our best to follow the guidelines given to us by our leaders and provide a safe environment for all. We will be cleaning all surfaces before and after services. Here are more details:

Regular Service Times

  • Sunday 8:15am & 10:45am (There will be no Sunday school.)
  • Wednesday 7:00pm (No dinner will be served.)
  • Services will be 50-60 minutes in length.
  • There will be no nursery, children, or youth services (Sundays or Wednesdays)
  • All are welcome to be in service with their family.

We ask that you come no earlier than 20 minutes before the service.

  • Proceed immediately to the Auditorium and be seated. There will be no coffee service or donuts.

When you enter and exit, there will be someone holding the door open for you.

  • No one will hug you or shake your hand or high five or elbow bump.

We ask that you wear a mask.

  • This is voluntary, but we strongly encourage it for the sake of others.
  • We will have masks available.
  • Children under 2 should not wear a mask. For children 2-5 years old, masks are optional.
  • All staff and volunteers will be wearing masks.

There will be tables in the Lobby with the following:

  • Hand sanitizer, sermon notes, giving envelopes
  • Activity sheets for kids (please bring your own pencils or crayons)
  • Offering buckets – (no offering will be taken during the service)

When you enter the Auditorium, there will be someone there to help you find a seat.

  • Chairs will be placed in various groupings – each group 6 feet apart.
  • In the bleachers, we will have every other row blocked off and markers for 6-foot distancing.

We will dismiss you by sections so that everyone doesn’t leave together.

If you are feeling ill, have a fever, a cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or do not feel comfortable to be out, please do not come to service.

We will still be streaming our services online. We live in challenging times, but we are up to the challenge. Things will be changing, but our God is still the same. We look forward to seeing you soon.

April 2, 2020

We hope you’re doing well. In these uncertain times we have a God who is Faithful and will sustain us.

In recognition of the Stay-at-Home order issued by Governor DeSantis, we will be closing the church office after beginning Friday, April 3. Although we are under no legal compulsion to do so, we believe God’s command to love one another compels us in this matter.

You can still reach us at 239-543-2700 or by email at info@faithnfm.com.

Online services will continue Sundays at 8:15 & 10:45am, and Wednesdays at 7pm at Live.FaithNFM.com, Facebook.com/FaithNFM, and YouTube.com/FaithNFM.

March 18, 2020, Noon update

For most businesses and groups, the decision to stop meeting or doing business is based on financial considerations or the amount of risk involved. As a Church, these are not our primary considerations. We are focused on the spiritual health and well-being of each person. While the Church is more than a building, there is an element of meeting in person as the Body of Christ that cannot be ignored.1 However, Scripture is also clear that the Church is still the Church even when we are not physically gathered together2, and we can still be the Church no matter where we are.

We are also aware of the concern of our community and government officials with large groups of people during this time. So, although we would very much like to keep meeting in our regular manner, we have respect for authority and regard for our neighbors.

We will cease meeting in person until further notice. This includes our Sunday and Wednesday services.

Over the past few years, we have been developing our online platforms to serve those who cannot make it to the church building on Sunday or Wednesday. We will be leveraging these platforms in the coming days to continue serving our community.

Sunday and Wednesday services will continue to be streamed online.

You can join us electronically for uplifting worship and encouraging messages from Pastor Goss. We plan to provide other content as well. Our content will be available in the following places:

If you need assistance with accessing us online, please call the church office ahead of time. We would be happy to help you get set up.

We have other content available online, too.

The church offices remain open to answer any questions or help in any way. Call us at 239-543-2700. Our email is Info@FaithNFM.com.
