It’s time for the 2010 Upward  Basketball & Cheerleading season. Registration is now open for children in 1st through 8th grades . The cost is $55 for basketball and $60 for cheerleading. Basketball shorts and cheerleading turtlenecks are available for $12.

Basketball evaluations and cheerleading orientation will be held Tuesday, August 31 and Thursday, September 2 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the Auditorium, Building 3. A mandatory scrimmage game will be held on Saturday, September 11 at 9:00 a.m.

UPWARD sports ministry is hosting its 3rd Annual Golf Tournament on July 31 at River Hall Country Club. Become a sponsor today and help us expand our reach in connecting with more children and families for the cause of Christ. All money raised will enable us to provide financial scholarships and to purchase new equipment for our basketball and flag football leagues.

For each $500 sponsorship, a sign will be placed on one hole with your business logo and information.  These signs will also be displayed at each basketball and flag football game throughout the upcoming season.  For each $100 sponsorship, a sign will be placed on one hole with your business logo and information.  Each business that helps us will be recognized at the tournament as well as during our end-of-season celebrations.

This will be a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. River Hall Country Club is located at 3500 River Hall Parkway, Alva. The cost is $65 per golfer and includes a goody bag, lunch, and a chance to win some great prizes.

You can register to play and/or become a sponsor by downloading the 3rd Annual Golf Tournament Registration Form (pdf). This year’s Ladies Fall Breakaway is being held at The Omni Resorts at Champions Gate in Orlando. With several pools and a lazy river, you’ll be sure to enjoy a relaxing weekend! Mark your calendars now to “break away” from September 30 through October 2.

A $50.00 deposit by August 1 will reserve your room, and the deadline to register is September 6.

Download the  “Bring It” Registration Form (pdf), or pick one up at the Information Counter in the lobby or the church office (open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) After completion, return it with your deposit/payment to the Information Counter, the office during business hours, or mail it to Faith Assembly of God, Attn: Tammy, 6950 Bayshore Road, North Fort Myers, FL 33917.
